Mastercard at OneRush
Mastercard is the most familiar method on the payments page at OneRush and the one with the most other people involved. A card deposit passes through the operator, an acquirer, the card scheme and your issuing bank, and any of them can say no or add a cost. The operator takes nothing. Two of the others might.
Depositing with Mastercard, step by step
- Open the cashier deposit tab and select Mastercard.
- Enter the card number, expiry and CVV, then the amount, minimum 200 kr.
- Complete the 3-D Secure prompt when it appears, normally a confirmation in your bank app.
- The balance updates within seconds.
- Compare the credited amount against the charge on your card statement a day later, because any difference is your issuer, not the cashier.
That last step is the one worth building a habit around. It is where a conversion margin, a foreign transaction fee or a cash advance charge becomes visible, and none of them appear anywhere in the casino interface.
The 3-D Secure step, and how it fails
3-D Secure is the bank confirming that the person holding the card is the cardholder. In Sweden that usually means a push notification or a BankID prompt. It is quick when it works and quietly annoying when it does not: the prompt occasionally never arrives, the deposit sits unfinished, and nothing has been charged. Do not simply retry three times in a row, because a run of failed authentications is exactly the pattern a fraud model is built to escalate. Close the attempt, check the phone, and start once.
Withdrawing to a Mastercard
Payouts start at 200 kr and take one to three banking days, which is the widest gap on the whole site between how fast money goes in and how slowly it comes back. The asymmetry is structural. A deposit is an authorisation the operator can act on the moment it clears. A payout is a scheme credit that travels back to your issuer and lands in that bank settlement cycle, and the last leg is entirely outside the operator control.
Banking days are working days. Approved on Friday evening means Monday at the earliest and Wednesday quite often, and a Swedish public holiday extends it further. If waiting is the part you object to, Trustly pays to the same bank account in one to two hours.

Why Swedish issuers decline gambling merchants
Every merchant carries a category code, and gambling has its own. A meaningful number of banks block that code by policy rather than by risk assessment of you personally, most commonly on debit cards issued to younger customers and on cards where a gambling block was switched on at some point and forgotten. The card is fine. The balance is fine. The category is what is refused, and the operator sees only a rejection with no ability to influence it.
Three things to try, in order. Look in your bank app for a gambling or merchant block toggle, because many Swedish banks now expose one directly. If there is none, call the issuer and ask whether the block is switchable; some will, some will not, and a bank that has decided its cards are not for gambling will not be talked round. If neither works, stop retrying and change rail: Trustly and a bank transfer move money from the same account without touching the card schemes at all.
The cash advance question
This is the cost that surprises people, and it comes from your issuer rather than from the casino. Many credit card providers classify a gambling deposit as a cash-like transaction rather than a purchase. In practice that means a fee charged at the moment of the deposit and interest that starts running immediately instead of after the usual interest-free window. Deposit 1 000 kr and the amount you eventually repay can be measurably more, without a single krona of it going to the operator.
A debit card avoids the mechanism entirely because there is nothing to advance. That is the honest recommendation: if you are going to use a card here, use a debit card, and check your own card terms before assuming a credit deposit is free.
Verification before the first payout
Separate from 3-D Secure and required once. Before releasing the first withdrawal the operator asks for an identity document and a recent proof of address, and the review can take up to 24 hours on top of the one to three banking days the card itself needs. On a rail that is already the slowest to pay out, doing this on registration day is worth more than on any other method. Documents go to the operator; we are an independent review portal and never handle them.
